As a Turkish artist, my work is deeply influenced by my love of the natural world, as well as my connection to my cultural heritage. I create sound art by recording the vibrations of the earth and environmental sounds, using these elements to explore the relationship between humanity and the natural world.
In my work, I use field recordings and other techniques to capture the unique sounds of the earth and the environment, from the gentle hum of the earth’s vibrations to the roar of a waterfall. I then manipulate and arrange these sounds to create pieces that are both sonically rich and conceptually engag- ing.
My work is also inspired by my interest in the relationship between urban and natural environments; I often use field recordings of urban soundscapes to create pieces that speak to the tension between these two worlds.
